ATTENTION ALL VOLUNTEERS!
We are looking to expand our adoptions staff and we need YOUR help! Become a volunteer adoptions counselor. Volunteer adoptions counselors will be trained to assist adoptions staff in processing applications, escorting potential adopters, retrieving and showing animals for adoption, providing information about the animals and helping with data entry/Petfinder entries. All those interested should contact Tracey Carvell, Adoptions and Intake manager at email@example.com to schedule an interview time.
Volunteers are invited to apply to work in the various animal care areas. Skilled electricians, plumbers and carpenters are also needed. In addition, there is a need for volunteers willing to do manual labor in a variety of construction and maintenance projects. We welcome volunteers with experience in bathing and grooming, training, T-Touch, adoption counseling, data entry, filing, and office work.
We are also always looking for "greeters". Welcoming people, directing them to the proper place and helping to answer their questions!
People interested in applying for our volunteer opportunities should contact the Sanctuary Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also sign up for our mailing list (you can do so in the left sidebar) so that we can keep you updated on volunteer opportunities and requests! Thank you so much for caring.
We welcome your "well-behaved" children. There is no minimum age for volunteers at Pets Alive Westchester, we ask only that all volunteers be willing and able to follow directions from staff and senior volunteers. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and must stay with you the entire day. We also welcome your school or organization projects.
Required for ALL volunteers
Volunteer orientation is every Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00. There is no appointment or sign-up necessary - just come on by!
If this time doesn't work for you, please email email@example.com to arrange to have an orientation on another day if possible (we can not guarantee that we can accomodate you, but your volunteering is important to us, so we will do our best!)

TRAIN TO ADOPT
Pets Alive Westchester is now recruiting volunteers for our Train To Adopt (TTA) program. TTA members utilize modern, science-based training techniques to improve the lives of our canine friends at PAW. Relationship-building games combined with "Learn to Earn" and "Say Please" programs increase the adoptability of younger and older dogs alike. Regular meetings with our in-house trainer provide support and education for experienced dog handlers as well as "new dog people". On-site as well as off-site training sessions and events are always in the works!
